Room 16's Anzac surprize

This year I have brought my Great Grandads medals from World war one to school.  He  fought in Gallipoli and many more countries. He acheived 5 medals. He survived  the war everyone was so happy but died of old age.  So my Grandad joined world war two he worked on the ships and lucky for him he didn't die. He is still alive now. Now thats why I wear poppies on ANZAC DAY.

Visit from a real live poet!!

Paula Green is a New Zealand poet who has written lots of awesome poetry. We were lucky enough to have her visit our school a few weeks ago and she came and took a poetry workshop in our class. She challenged us to write poems with 10 words or less. She helped us achieve this goal. Here are some of our poems. What do you think?
